Kostanjevica na Krki

Kostanjevica na Krki, often called the “Venice of Dolenjska,” is the only town in Slovenia located on a river island. This former secret Partisan headquarters is now arranged as an open-air museum, where you can learn about the life and activities of the Slovenian resistance movement.
